- Monitored Exchange: Domestic violence does not stop when a couple
divorces or separates. When children are involved and the non- custodial parent exercises visitation rights, physical violence and/or verbal confrontations often erupt in front of the children.
- The SAFE Monitored Exchange Program eliminates contact between
the parties, and thereby eliminates a child's fear of confrontation between the parents.
- Supervision during exchanges provides protection for both parties by
preventing altercations and any accusations of threats or abuse.
- The Victim Assistance Centre believes this program is probably the
single most valuable tool in preventing future acts of domestic violence in a family.
